Zach Tillery is a 2018 1B/3B, RHP with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Powhatan, VA who attends Powhatan HS. Recorded a 7.55 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with broad shoulders and well-proportioned strength throughout. Primary first baseman with a shorter arm action and turns well. Good, clean hands that work well and showed athleticism to make plays on the run. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a turn step as a rocker. Shorter arm circle and action with a long front lever through release. Stays tall on the backside and lands online with an open toed landing. Low effort delivery and fastball has short arm side run to it. Three-quarter arm slot who threw strikes and got on top of the ball well. Mixed in a 12/6 curveball and fielded position well. Righthanded hitter with a spread open stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and keeps hands close to the body. Looking to elevate the ball and gets good jump off the barrel. Upper half strength plays through swing and can create good power to the pull side. Tremendous student.
