Jeffrey Castillo is a 2017 3B/2B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Wernersville, PA who attends Wilson HS. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.73 sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman, travels with a lower center of gravity to baseball flashing smooth paced footwork. Clean, two handed glove actions while funneling the baseball out front. Works through transition efficiently with clean glove to hand exchanges. High energy, full arm action at release that generated some carry with accuracy across the infield, topped at 82 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with wide base and toe tag trigger. Hands launch on a loose, extended path that created a linear plane through extension. Has some present bat speed through the zone with a mid field approach that showed good jump off the barrel when squared. Good student as well.
