Rimmy Nemickas is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends George Washington. Medium frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Projects to support additional size with strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a side step to high leg lift delivery. Weight tends to get to heel at balance point prior to working to the plate with drop and drive actions. Repeated a high three-quarters arm slot creating some running action with a fastball that topped at 79 miles per hour. Developing feel for a 12/6 curveball that flashed solid depth. Consistently challenged hitters while filling the strike zone with both pitches. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing clean, deliberate footwork while closing on the baseball. Smooth paced actions while working through the baseball with clean glove actions. Long arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters lot. Throws produced accurate on line carry to the bag topping at 78 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Creates some linear shift to contact with lower half. Loose, level swing plane through extension with a mid field approach. Flashed beginnings of bat speed when stay on baseball through extension. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Very good student as well.
