Kelvin Gutierrez is a 2018 OF/ with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends Validus Preparatory Academy. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build; good projection remaining. Ran very well, posting a 6.80 seconds 60 yard dash time. Switch-hitter; big leg lift trigger from right side with quality bat speed, front foot will get down early and cause drift at times, shows line drive swing plane with ability to work to all fields. Quick hands from left side, gets head out on time at times, flashes whole field approach with semi-inside out path. Worked out in the outfield; attacks the ball with quick movements and athleticism, fields cleanly and shows good actions throughout, stays balanced and has looseness to arm stroke, throws topped at 81 mph. Good student.
