Rowan Arrant is a 2019 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-2 240 lb. frame from Nacogdoches, TX who attends Central Heights High School. Large frame, strong build, broad shoulders, with physicality in body that plays in game. Posted a 7.87 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, online delivery, compact arm circle, good extension down the mound, and threw from a high three quarter arm slot. Used lower half well, repeatable mechanics, and attacked hitters inside. Fastball worked 81-85 mph with short arm side life and sink to the lower third of zone. Exploded out of hand and was around zone effectively. Showed changeup with sink, decelerated arm speed up to 73 mph. Curveball worked with 12/6 shape with depth and developing sharpness. Worked out at the plate as well, even stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a toe tap timing mechanism. Positive launch angle, improved with round, present bat speed, and impact off the barrel. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
