Trace Henry is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Mooreville, MS who attends Mooreville HS. Medium, athletic frame with good projection remaining on frame. Ran extremely well, posting a 6.53 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from wide-based set with high hand set and high back elbow, rotational in upper half, has lift in swing at contact point. Good bat to ball skills with developing power at present. Moves to ball well in the outfield, fields cleanly out front and gets through the ball with sound mechanics. Arm strength in the outfield clocked up to 82 MPH with good accuracy. Pitched as well, exclusively from the stretch, throws from high 3/4 slot and gets downhill well and finishes over front side. FB worked 75-78 MPH and touched 79 MPH, gets to both sides of the plate with pitch and stayed down in the zone. CB had 1/7 shape with huge depth and good spin. Named to 2016 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
