Ernest Adendorff is a 2019 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Moorpark, CA who attends Oaks Christian. Large frame with broad shoulder and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 6.90 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple, smooth paced side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on back side at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose arm circle straight back and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well generated solid downhill tilt with run sitting in the low 80's, topped at 84 miles per hour. Curveball had 11/5 shape with good spin and later depth in the low 70's. Showed good feel for each edge of the plate and consistently changed speed keeping hitters off balance. Also worked out defensively from first base showing clean footing while centering the baseball. Funnels baseball out font and work through transition with fluid actions. Released from a loose three-quarters slot topping at 82 miles per hour across the infield. Right handed hitter with an upright, event stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, repeatable path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field but flashed the hand quickness to turn barrel and work to pull side as well. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 NorCal Showcase Top Prospect List.
