Jacob Zuniga is a 2019 RHP with a 5-11 198 lb. frame from Pecos, TX who attends Pecos HS. Large frame with strong, physical, mature present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 8.20 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, short step back into very high leg lift, stands tall on backside, short stride down the mound, full arm stroke to high three quarters arm slot. Fastball worked 80-83 mph and peaked at 84 mph, showed good command down in zone. 12/6 curveball with hammer depth and solid command, also worked in a short, sharp slider and quality changeup. Full four pitch mix with feel for command. Hits from upright, slightly open stance, uppercut swing plane, intent to drive the ball into the air, has pull-side approach. Worked out at 1st base, showed solid footwork with some range, fields cleanly, arm strength clocked up to 80 mph across the diamond.
