William Kahn is a 2018 C with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from San Francisco, CA who attends Stuart Hall HS. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Right handed hitter with a straight, balanced stance and leg lift trigger. Creates occasional lower half shift into contact. Hands launch on a loose, slightly lofted path through extension creating a high finish. Simple, quiet stride with a line drive approach that produces some pop to the gaps when squared. Shows bat speed when turning barrel head to pull side, generating hard line drive contact. Worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a slightly taller set. Gets the baseball out quickly with a compact arm cirlce and arm action. Throws were accurate to the bag with solid carry, topped a 79 mph with a best workout pop time of 1.92. Soft hands while receiving with smooth funneling glove actions while framing pitches to both edges. Good student as well.
