Austin Gilley is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Graham, NC who attends Southern Alamance High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.76 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, side saddle start, lower arm slot, clean release, developing transfer, and raw arm strength. Posted a workout pop time of 2.12. At the plate, started with an even stance, slight crouch, medium hand set, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing path and a good, balanced weight transfer. Impact off the barrel with quick hands through the zone. Primarily worked up the middle and pull side. Will continue to improve with additional lower half in swing.
