Daniel Burleson is a 2019 2B/SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Stanfield, NC who attends West Stanly HS. Recorded a 7.07 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with some quick twitch athleticism and a projectable build. Primary second baseman with quick hands and good lateral agility. Footwork motions well through the ball with a clean and quick exchange. Made all the plays and fields out in front. Righthanded hitter with a level swing plane and direct path to contact. Short swing path with fluidity present. Consistent line drive contact to all fields but mostly up the middle and to the pull side. Natural loft to the path with looseness to hands.Advanced bat control with the ability to impact the ball with the barrel consistently. High hand set with a high back elbow and simple trigger into the swing. Strong wrists and creates leverage well.
