2018 Pitcher/Catcher Showcase
Will Nigut is a 2018 RHP with a 6-4 206 lb. frame from Des Moines, IA who attends Roosevelt HS. Strong athletic build. Compact arm action in back that hides the ball well, high 3/4's arm slot that creates good downhill angle, stays on line well to release, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Curveball is a quality pitch with 11/5 shape and good depth, creates tight spin and gets some sharp bit, commanded his curveball well. Flashed good feel with with his change up and it has the potential to develop into a solid pitch at the next level. Three very workable pitches thrown around the plate with a swing and miss curveball. Excellent student.
