Matthew Hefter is a 2019 3B/RHP, OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Demarest, NJ who attends Northern Valley Regional. Medium frame with strong, athletic present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.34 seconds. Sets to hit from slightly open stance, cocks hands back into barred load, pulls hands in through swing and keeps them compact through stroke, line drive plane, whole-field approach. Showed good power up LCF gap; good feel to hit overall. Moves well in the infield and sets up good angles, glove works out front with clean funnel, works through well and shows zip on throws, clocked up to 81 mph. Pitched as well, compact arm stroke, hides ball well, gets to high three quarters slot, slight crossfire delivery, fastball worked 77-80 mph with slight arm side run, good extension through release. Flashed short slider, misses barrels with it. Lives down in the zone consistently. Very good student.
