Kade Hancock is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Salem, UT who attends Salem Hills. Large frame with strong, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.37 seconds. Switch-hitter, showed good hitting tools from both sides. Wider-spread from right side, shifts well into contact, hands work well out front, middle-approach with bat speed, did a good job making hard contact; more pull-side approach from left side, will cut off a bit but very solid bat speed, drove the ball pull side consistently, good hitting tools overall. Worked out in the outfield, solid footwork to the ball, fields cleanly and works through, arm strength clocked up to 82 mph. Also pitched, short arm action to high three quarters slot, top and bottom half get a little disconnected through delivery and can cause arm to drag, fastball worked 79-81 mph and peaked at 82, showed curveball with flashes of sharpness on 11/5 axis, worked in changeup with good feel and fade. Named to 2018 National Underclass West Top Prospect List, very good student.
