James Colon is a 2020 3B/OF with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Weehawken, NJ who attends Weehawken. Large frame with broad shoulders and beginnings of strength. Primary third baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while working to and through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Maintains momentum toward target while released from a three-quarters arm slot. Throws generated accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Deep hand load and worked to baseball on a clean path. Utilized a slightly lifted barrel plane while showing good strength at contact. Consistently threw the barrel head to contact and created hard contact to the middle of the field and pull side gap.
