Kyle Martin is a 2018 1B/RHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends North Forsyth HS. Large frame with long limbs, broad shoulders and present strength. Primary first baseman with clean, fluid actions while centering and funneling the baseball. Worked through exchange efficiently and showed solid arm strength while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot, topped at 80 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball and created an naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Stayed balanced throughout swing actions while employing a gap to gap approach. Swung with intent and produced good jump with carry off the barrel when squared to the middle of the field. Also pitched utilizing a fluid, high leg lift delivery. Loose arm action through extension from a three-quarters slot. Fastball flash some sink to the bottom of the zone in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Curveball showed tight spin with good depth in the low 70's. Consistently worked to each edge of the plate with the feel to repeatedly locate to the bottom quadrant of the strike zone. Very good student as well.
