Kleinhenn is a 6-5, 180 lb right handed pitcher from Pennsylvania with long arms and legs. He throws from an unusual delivery that at his size and length makes him very difficult to hit for right handed hitters. Kleinhenn is a cross body thrower with a very extened mid 3/4's release point that he'll occasionally drop even lower. His arm speed is very good. His angle to the plate for RHH'ers is across the plate, not through the plate, and if the hitter is standing back or away from the plate he'd going to be reaching for balls. Kleinhenn's fastball was 84-87 mph with good command. He kept the ball low and hitters didn't get good swings. Kleinhenn also threw a 69 mph curveball that had good spin and angle but he didn't use this pitch very much. He could be really nasty if he could figure out a way to cut his fastball a bit. This is a good, young pitching talent who should keep developing. He's also an outstanding student with his eyes on some prestiguous academic institutions.
