Sam Juckett is a 2022 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 230 lb. frame from Maple Shade, NJ who attends Paul Vi. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.17 seconds. Graded out best in this event on the mound, simple operation with side-step rocker into inward leg lift long arm stroke through the back, max-effort release, drop-and-drive lower half, fastball worked 81-84 mph with heavy arm side run and good plane downhill, short curveball with 11/5 shape and good bite, flashed flatter changeup with good arm speed, did a nice job throwing strikes. Hits from even-based stance with upright posture, hands set high, inside hand path on linear swing plane, strength stands out when square, good jump off the barrel when timed up. Worked out in the infield, waist-bender to field, hands work well out front, clocked up to 83 mph on throws across the diamond. Very good student, named to 2020 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.
