Michael Boyian is a 2019 SS/RHP with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Norwalk, CT who attends Norwalk. Compact frame with a lean build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Primary shortstop with clean footwork while working to the baseball. Moves well while ranging to each side. Smooth glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Flashed some smoothness at release creating carry to the bag, topped at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an even, balanced stance. Flashed good barrels skills with the bat speed to throw the barrel through the zone. Manipulated the barrel to all parts of the zone and worked to all fields with ease throughout batting practice. Also pitched utilized a clean, smooth tempo delivery. Released from a loose, high three-quarters arm slot producing occasional sink with a fastball that topped at 73 miles per hour. Primarily looked to the fill the bottom of the zone and flashed developing feel while working to each edge. Very good student as well.
