Baylor Jones is a 2019 1B/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Spring Hill, TN who attends Grace Christian Academy. Strong athletic build, especially in his lower half. 7.33 runner, has good defensive actions and athleticism at first base, very good arm strength with carry, looks like he has the tools to play third base as well. Right handed hitter, gets loaded well, will get to his front side early at times and leave his hands behind, short swing when he's timed up with good strength at contact. Also pitched, works from the stretch with an over the top release point and good extension out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with lots of downhill angle and occasional sink, throws his fastball for strikes to both sides of the plate. Curveball is a true 12/6 downer with good consistent spin and changes a hitter's eye level effectively. Good young athlete with some skills to develop. Excellent student.
