Jorge Zambrano is a 2018 RHP/OF, UT with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Medium frame with present athleticism, recorded a 6.88 60-yard dash, and room left to fill out. Primary righthanded pitcher with a lower leg lift and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. Loose arm action with a full arm circle and the ball is delivered cleanly out of the hand. Compact and repeatable delivery with the lower and upper halves being synchronized well. Good push off the backside and solid follow through on his landing. Filled up the strike zone and used secondary offerings well. Sound pitchability with repertoire highlighted by a curveball with 11/5 shape and tight spin. Secondary outfielder with correct first steps and good instincts. Athleticism shines from the position and rounds the ball well. Arm strength is still developing but accurate throws. Switch hitter who graded out best from the left side. High hand set with a high back elbow and a naturally lofted swing plane. Slightly open stance to start and flashed bat speed through the point of extension. Turned well over the inside and could handle the barrel well. Named to the 2017 Florida Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
