Khalil Hassan is a 2019 OF/3B, SS with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Ellenwood, GA who attends Woodland. Large build, athletic frame that really projects nicely. Ran a 6.36 second 60 yard dash, outstanding speed that shows up in game on the bases and in the outfield. Primary outfielder, footwork plays to the ball well, takes an extra step or two at release with a big crow hop, quick arm action creating above average arm strength, topped out at 88 mph from the outfield. Secondary third baseman who took reps in the infield, short steps to the ball but his quickness is noticeable, clean hands to both sides particularly to back hand, really moves well laterally, easy actions all around with similar arm strength as in the outfield. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, long arm action with a plunge in the back, crossfire landing, hands separate late causing some timing issues with arm stroke and release point, fastball topped out at 84 mph, mixes in a curveball with 10-3 shape, creates lots of angle and worked a quick inning of relief but should work on consistency with arm stroke. Righthanded hitter, wide base with a slightly open stance, small stride into swing, downhill swing plane, should work on timing with barrel to the ball, lots of groundball contact during round.
