Joshua Munoz is a 2023 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Los Fresnos, TX who attends Los Fresnos. Ran a 7.30-second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a young frame and slender build. Has smooth actions with a clean funnel out front, transferring well to throw with good feet and range through the fielding process. Has young arm strength, making throws from multiple angles across the diamond at 78 mph. Right-handed hitter that starts from an upright and even stance, with a reaching front side trigger and rotational lower half. Has a clean and compact hand path to contact, showcasing a line drive barrel plane and a middle of the field approach. Will continue to improve with added strength and size. Secondary right-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a small side step into an extended leg lift above the belt. Has some looseness to the arm action, releasing from an over the top slot with some effort at finish. Manipulates speeds with the fastball, sitting 74-82 mph and showing sinking and cutting action to both sides of the plate. Shows some developing feel for a low-60s curveball with sweeping shape to it, landing for strikes down in the zone. Good student.
