Cody Grebeck is a 2021 SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Midland, TX who attends Midland Christian. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with plenty of room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, shows nice range to either side with clean footwork, hands play out front with softness and funnels well into body, nice balance with high energy motor, shows comfort throwing from multiple slots with accuracy and present arm strength. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a wide and spread stance with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing and can incorporate additional lower half shift moving into contact. Stays short to the ball with a linear path through the zone, contact oriented approach with comfort working to the middle of the field. Can work to all fields and shows a handle for the barrel, projects well with added physical strength. Good student.
