Clenard Griffin III is a 2020 SS/2B/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Willis, TX who attends Willis. Athletic build with some wiry strength and plenty of physical projection. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a toe tap trigger, short swing with hands tight through the zone, lets the ball travel, hands driven swing with good hand quickness, tracks the ball well, makes consistent hard line contact to the middle of the field with some carry. Very good runner, has a quick first step on defense. Played both the middle infield and centerfield, left side defensive actions with a long and loose arm action, easy athletic movements to the ball, slides well side to side. Played centerfield in games and looked like a natural, got very good jumps and showed range both going back and coming in. Athletic player who will continue to improve with strength and repetitions.
