Don Wille is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-3 202 lb. frame from Holtsville, NY who attends Sachem East High School. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.89 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, slightly tall stance behind the plate in drills, receives the ball out front, shows footwork coming out of crouch and gains short ground, can continue to incorporate lower half into release, fuller arm stroke through the back and shows nice arm speed and strength on throws down to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with active hands at start of swing and utilizes physical strength well to impact the baseball. Stays linear with swing path with occasional leverage out front at point of contact. Ball shows carry off the barrel to pull side and creates nice torque with lower half, shows a handle for the barrel. Good student. Named to Northeast Underclass Top Prospect List.
