Jeffrey “Mac” Heuer is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Greensboro, GA who attends Home School. Big and strong physical build. Has simple turn and throw mechanics with a compact arm action, hides the ball very well, stays tall and on line, tight high 3/4's arm slot, some energy at release. Fastball was steady at 92-94 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle, works primarily with his fastball and has good side to side command of the pitch. Flashed good spin and sharpness on his curveball, not consistent with his arm and body speed on the pitch, has potential with more repetitions. Rare change was firm and has potential as well. Power arm that has been higher than 94 mph at PG tournaments this summer. Very good student, verbal commitment to Texas Tech.
