Jack Butler is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pope. Large and strong frame with noticeable lower half physicality. Ran a 7.62 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, starts his delivery with a rocker step up to a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a long arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, stays online to the plate with present arm strength, utilizes tall and fall mechanics down the mound, stays efficient with his movements and repeats well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, mixes in an 11-5 curveball that he tunnels well out of his hand, short fading changeup mixed in as well, solid three pitch mix that he filled up the strike zone with. Secondary third baseman, moves well with smoothness to his feet, has quickness in on the baseball, carry to his throws up to 78 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, even stance with a simple stride into contact, pull-oriented stroke with a level barrel plane through the zone, stays through the bat with good extension and showed the ability to get the bat head out in front.
