Parker Dean is a 2022 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Kokomo, IN who attends Western. Large and sturdy frame with broad shoulders. Ran a 7.67 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins windup with a simple side step up to a high leg lift, loose and working arm action up to a high ¾ slot, online landing to the plate with a short stride down the mound, could get more from lower half for future additional velocity but can still project more velocity likely in the future, front side reaches but is a nice lever for the arm stroke. Fastball has some sink and straightens out when up in the zone, topped out at 83 mph on the mound, curveball has 12-to-6 shape with developing spin, flashed a changeup to lefthanded hitters with some fade. Secondary outfielder, fields the ball coming through it well, gets on top of throws with a loose arm action, some carry to throws with arm strength that topped out at 79 mph. Righthanded hitter, very wide base, downward path with bat and a strong overall swing to and through contact, hands move to the baseball nicely with quickness, could get more out of lower half for additional strength off of the barrel.
