Joshua Culliver is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Creighton Preparatory HS. Tall lean frame, athletic build, room to fill out physical as he puts on additional muscle. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, long arm action, quick arm speed, front hip coil, gets extended, smooth delivery. Fastball jumps out of his hand, has good arm side run. Slider has 10/4 shape, has sharpness and solid depth, swing and miss potential. Changeup is straight, mixes all three pitches well. Shows athleticism on the mound, fields position well. Arm and body project. From the outfield, athletic actions, good direction and momentum toward target, uses lower half well, smooth glove work, long loose over the top arm action, solid arm strength with good carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance. Middle of the field approach, smooth load, line drive swing plane, good barrel control, showed bat speed, high finish, some lift potential. Will see improvements with additional strength. Good student.
