Michael Olivares is a 2018 SS/3B, RHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Santa Ana, CA who attends Foothill. Olivares has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively he has developing actions on the infield with developing footwork. Olivares fields the ball stationary and has a slower release. He has developing arm strength up to 75 MPH. At the plate, Olivares starts with a slightly open stance and has a bat wrap load. He looks to pull the baseball and has some lift to his swing. He has some bat speed and takes an aggressive hack. Olivares has some power potential and has solid young hitting tools. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Olivares has a raw delivery and worked ahead of hitters well.
