Tanner Belcher is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Smiths Station, AL who attends Central HS. Big and strong athletic build. Well paced delivery with a compact arm circle in back, loose and fast arm, can use lower half more to generate additional velocity, pretty sound overall mechanics. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, fastball gets good running and sinking life, can cut his fastball as well, commands his fastball well and understands movement with maturity. Soft curveball, does not get out front of it with power at present, developing change up. Young pitcher with good mechanics and a very good fastball, secondary pitches and ability from the stretch still developing. Impressive overall athlete, ran a 6.82 in the 60, right handed hitter with a low hand start and some power potential in his swing. Good student.
