2006 National Underclass Showcase
Christian Datoc is a 2009 MIF that attends Pace Academy and resides in Atlanta, GA with a 5'6", 150 lb. frame. Christian has an athletic build and showed a solid all-around set of tools at the showcase. At the plate Christian has a short line-drive swing with quick hands. Christian has a very good eye at the plate and his approach is simple and easy to repeat. He should be able to consistently hit for average but will need to work on his load and leverage in his swing to maximize his potential. In the field Christian showed very solid all-around actions. He has good footwork with soft hands and is a clean fielder. Christian is able to get rid of the ball quick and his arm is solid enough to profile at second or third base. Christian is a great student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
