Parker Sutton is a 2008 LHP/1B from Roswell High School in Roswell, GA, with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame. Named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. He is a young and projectable left handed pitcher who throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose and easy arm action. Sutton gets running action on his fastball that topped out at 82 mph with occasional sink. At times, Sutton has a big hammer curveball with depth that can be an out pitch at the next level. He has good pitchability with his two pitches, and shows good control. Sutton is very projectable on the mound and needs to be followed. Defensively, he has good hands and moves well around the first base bag. At the plate he is a left handed hitter with good bat speed. Sutton has a line drive swing plane and makes consistently hard contact. He stays balanced through his swing showing good hand strength in the process. Sutton is a two-way prospect, and is a good student as well.
