Kip Brandenburg is a 2016 SS/OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Southern Guilford HS. Tall and lanky athletic build, square shoulders, stands out in the uniform. 7.34 runner, plays both the infield and outfield. Third base future in the infield, long arm action with some raw arm strength, accurate throws, moves well on his feet for his size. Looked solid the outfield with good balance and direction through the ball and clean athletic actions. Right handed hitter, big move into contact, swings hard with an inside swing path, creates very good bat speed especially when his hands get through and he hits it out front, can drive the ball hard to right centerfield, swung the bat well in games and showed his power potential. Has an interesting ceiling on offense with his bat speed and power potential. Excellent student, has not signed with a college but definitely has the tools to play at the D1 level.
