2015 Pitcher Catcher Indoor Showcase
Caleb Larson is a 2018 RHP/1B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Wheaton, IL who attends Wheaton Warrenville South HS. Tall and lanky build, very projectable physically. Full clean arm circle, extended high 3/4's arm slot from a rock back delivery, low effort release with some backward lean to let his arm through, will get off direction at times on release. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 83 mph, very good pitch when powered down to the bottom of the strike zone but often left up. Creates hard spin on his curveball with hard biting action a times. Tends to slow on change up but throws the pitch for strikes. Young delivery mechanics but a nice pitcher's body and a loose, strong arm that's just going to keep improving with physical maturity. Good student.
