Devin Hack is a 2019 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Somerville, NJ who attends Somerville HS. Very good frame with an athletic build that translates nicely into baseball actions. Recorded a 4.96 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth defensive actions and moves well. Arm action produced solid carry while releasing from an over top arm slot. Throws continued to improve as the session continued and moves through the baseball well into the point of release. Three-quarter arm slot on the mound with some deceptiveness to delivery. Created some angle to the plate with fastball and showed good command to both sides of the plate. Mixed in a curveball that had short depth and flashed finish. Solid bat speed at the plate and looks to drive the ball hard in the air with some back shoulder dip. Consistent barrel skills and shifts his weight well through the point of contact allowing for hard contact to all fields. Timing was very good and the leg lift trigger was on time throughout the round. Named to the 2017 Northeast Indoor Showcase - NJ Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
