Nick Perry is a 2007 C/IF/OF from Hinsdale South HS in Burr Ridge, IL, with a 5'8'', 180 lb. frame. He has good present strength. Perry ran the 60 in 8.05 and threw 69 mph during catching drills with a best pop time of 2.14. He has some lower half quickness behind the plate and a good release. Perry hits from a spread crouched stance and an early load with low hands. He gets the bat going from a still start but has good hand strength and generates some bat speed and a slight upper cut swing plane. Perry was an aggressive hitter during the games and made solid line drive contact. He looks like a high average type of hitter who has the strength to reach the gaps and maybe even more if he can get more rhythm into the ball at contact. Perry is an excellent student off the field.
