Colin McCreary is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Clarks Summit, PA who attends Abington Heights. Large, athletic build with long limbs and projectable build with room to fill with additional strength. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and collects well behind it, fields cleanly, shows quick release from lower arm slot, clean arm action with strength, taller at release. Also pitched, works from low three-quarter arm action, long arm action with whip coming through backside, stays tall and remains fluid with mechanics. Fastball topped at 84 mph, shows pitchability and mixes three pitches well, 10-4 life on slider with solid feel for it. Left-handed hitter, starts with a leg kick trigger at start of swing. Shows quick hands at the plate and generates bat speed through the zone, stays upright through swing, consistent contact to pull side, clears hips through swing well, patient approach and shows some strength to pull side. Very good student.
