Kyle Ferguson is a 2018 OF/1B/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton HS. Large frame with solid, athletic present build; body projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.95 seconds. Sets up to hit from wider based stance, simplistic approach with repeatable hitting mechanics. Good strength in swing, generates hip torque by firing lower half efficiently, made consistently hard contact with best power to pull-field gap at present. Can use the whole field; highly projectable hitter. Fields out in front at 1st base with good hands, clean actions throughout, good accuracy to 2B and 3B. Comes in on the ball well in the OF, fielding cleanly and working through the ball effectively. Long, clean arm action on throws, clocked up to 74 MPH. Pitched as well, shorter arm action to three quarters arm slot, hides the ball well with deception. Good balance throughout delivery, FB worked 72-75 with some late life. Showed CB in low 60's with 10/4, sweeping shape. Good student.
