Daniel Morris is a 2018 3B with a 6-1 225 lb. frame from Livonia, MI who attends Stevenson HS. Large frame with present strength. Primary third baseman with smooth paced footwork while ranging to and centering the baseball. Clean, fundamental glove actions while funneling the baseball out front of body. Released from a compact arm slot that generated on line carry across the infield, topped at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a balanced, slightly open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions while hands fire on a naturally lifted plane through extension. Looks to separate and lift the baseball to the middle of the field between the outfield gaps. Flashed some hand speed and strength at contact when turning barrel to baseball and working to the pull side gap. Good student as well.
