Jackson Murphy is a 2017 C/3B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Troy, AL who attends Charles Henderson High School. Medium build and frame with broad shoulders and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted a 7.52 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher with a clean transfer and a narrow base with a strong arm up to 76 mph and a best pop time in workouts of 2.03. Also worked out in the outfield, showed an accurate arm with carry and arm strength up to 81 mph. At the plate, started with a narrow base with a leg lift timing mechanism. Used an inside hand path to go with the pitch and spray the ball to all fields. Developing bat speed and timing that will improve with strength.
