Johnny Volpe is a 2019 2B/SS, OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Sea Girt, NJ who attends Wall HS. Younger look with athleticism present on the build. Recorded a 5.18 40-yard dash. Primary second baseman and showed off some arm speed and quick feet. Showed off some quick twitch athleticism with a compact arm action through the back. Some arm strength and gets on top of the ball well and throws have occasional carry. Narrow stance at the plate and creates some quick torque in his hips. Has quickness in his hands that stood out and showed the ability to control the barrel of the bat well. Created a lot of line drives and sprayed line drives to all parts of the field. Will continue to grow as a hitter as he adds strength to his frame but has solid present hitting tools. Great student.
