Ben Lepik is a 2019 C/1B with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Grady HS. Large frame with long limbs and an athletic build. Frame projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance. Works to a taller throwing position while coming out of crouch. Glove glove circle while working through exchange and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 71 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.10. Switch hitter with an upright, open stance and leg lift trigger. Utilized rotational lower half actions to contact. Loose hand path to baseball with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed good fluidity throughout from the left side of the plate with present bat speed and strength at contact. Very good student.
