Zack Pierce is a 2008 C/3B/1B with a 5'11'', 200 lb. frame from Forked River NJ, who attends Lacey HS. He has a strong, mature build and some present strength. Pierce has an aggressive upper cut swing at the plate and shows some lift and raw bat speed. He's trying to pull everything he sees and hit the ball out of the ballpark. He has the strength to do it when he makes solid contact. Defensively, Pierce shows soft hands receiving the ball and moves pretty well for his size. His arm strength would improve with better footwork and body position and he had a best pop time of 2.15 during drills.
