Nick Perez is a 2018 1B/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Delray Beach, FL who attends Spanish River Community HS. Large frame with very good present strength well-proportioned throughout the build. Good athleticism and recorded a 7.37 second 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman with deliberate actions and clean turns. Developing arm strength with accurate throws across the diamond. Consistent glove work with a good awareness for short hops. Righthanded hitter with a spread open batting stance. Quick and easy trigger into the swing with good present bat speed. High hand set with a high back elbow and can impact the ball with vey good strength through the point of contact. Line drive swing plane and overall approach. Good tools to be a successful hitter with an intriguing power potential. Mostly up the middle approach with the ability to drop the barrel head out in front to generate hard hit contact. Excellent student.
