Efrain Rivera is a 2014 2B/3B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Toa Alta, PR who attends De La Salle HS. Smaller build, has some quick twitch athleticism. 6.77 runner, has good range and energy at second base, compact arm action, good footwork and stays balanced well, soft hands at the ball, works hard defensively with blue collar actions. Left handed hitter, aggressive hitter with full rotational swing, swings hard and looks to hit the ball hard, tends to step out in swing, will need to simplify approach and learn to use his speed/contact tools against better pitching. Good student.
