Cristian Garcia is a 2021 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita. Recorded a 7.40 second sixty-yard dash time. Small, compact frame with smoothness to his actions that translate well into game action. Primary middle-infielder with smooth, fluid actions into and through the fielding process. Well-engaged lower half with clean funnel out in front and the ability to throw from multiple angles accurately. Recorded arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a simple, repeatable delivery and athletic movements down the slope. Works from an abbreviated, quick paced windup to deliver tons of strikes to both sides of the plate fairly well. Fastball worked in the low-80s from both the wind-up and stretch, topping out at 84 mph in this look with life through the zone. Mixed in a sharp slider from his higher three-quarters arm slot, while flashing the ability to manipulate the shape to it effectively. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Middle-to-opposite field approach with steeper, fairly direct swing path and best impact to the right side. Solid overall skill set with upside remaining on the mound. Good Student.
