Brooks Lucas is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends Greenville HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Easy low effort delivery, repeats his mechanics very well, arm is loose and fast from a high 3/4's arm slot, arm and body project well although he never will be a big athlete. Fastball up to 84 mph, gets good boring life into right hander's hands. Slurve type hard curveball has tight spin and some bite, nice change up with good sink, will slow arm occasionally on change up. Mixes his pitches and has a nice idea what he's doing. Right handed hitter, open stance, hits from his backside with a deep hand load, works the middle of the field with an inside swing path. 7.47 runner. Interesting pitcher who is going to win some ball games, has really improved over the last year and even over the course of the summer. Good student.
