Steve Kokoski is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Fredonia, PA who attends Lakeview. Large frame with a solid build and present strength. Right handed hitter with an open stance. Shows rotational mechanics with a lofted swing path. Brings lower half well with big time strength at contact with plus bat speed through the zone. Gap to gap power approach with the present strength to drive the baseball over the fence. Worked out defensively from behind the plate showing a fast, strong arm action with a very quick glove to hand transfer and arm circle. Gains ground well with plus momentum to second base. Throws downhilll with on line carry and accuracy. Topped at 79 mph from behind the plate with a best pop time of 1.88 during workouts. Very projectable tools at and behind the plate. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and fludity. Outstanding student. Named to the 2016 Northeast Indoor Showcase-PA Top Prospect List.
